Well, if you are looking for extensive support, you should really buy a commercial Linux distro, like Redhat (www.redhat.com), Mandrake (www.mandrake.com), or Suse (www.suse.com). These are available at our Boxed Set page. Xandros is also a great operating system for people who're migrating from windows. But again, before you buy the boxed sets, we give you the opportunity to try the same product without the price. First decide which distro you'll settle for by purchasing and using these cheap linux cds. If you decide to keep them and need support, buy the boxed sets from the above mentioned websites.

There are also a lot of linux cd website that deal with GPL based reproduction, but we can say that we pride ourselves for great customer service, awesome price, and fast shipping. Many of the other websites are located in Canada or UK. We are located in NYC, and we have people in OR and TN to ship all 48 states fast. Other websites just can't do this!

When will you ship?

Items are usually shipped within 1-2 days of payment, via the method of your choosing. However, you have to keep in mind the time it takes for the shipping carrier to deliver the products. First class mails will take about 7-10 days depending on your location. Priority mail is said to be a 2-3 day service. Express mails are delivered overnight in most locations.

For orders costing less than $6, there's a small $2 low order fee. You can avoid this by ordering another item costing $2 or more.

Flat shipping is $5 for unlimited items. However, no tracking information is available, and we recommend you choose 'per-item' shipping to get a delivery confirmation number. Orders over $50 qualifies for free priority mail / UPS shipping upgrade.

What do I do if it's taking too long to receive the cds?

If it has been over 2 weeks since you placed the order with us, chances are that the order is lost in the mail (yes, it does happen). Please contact admin@osdepot.com for a free replacement sent out to you the same day. To prevent delays like this, you may wish to choose shipping via UPS that provides a tracking number, or USPS Priority mail. After you place an order, just email us, and we can give a quote for the shipping upgrades.

I received broken/damaged cds, or the cds don't work. What do I do?

Send an email to service@freewarecds.com explaining your situation. We'll replace the damaged cds. You don't have to send the damaged ones back.

I am new to Linux. I am not sure how to install it. What do I do?

We have great discussion forums here for newbies. But, it'd be better to try www.linuxquestions.org and ask any questions in their newbie site. Also find other useful links in our Useful Links page.
